President's Message: February Reflections and Upcoming Events

Updated: Mar 3

As February unfolds, it brings a sense of reflection and connection. This month is often associated with love and appreciation. However, I find myself thinking about the deep bond our museum shares with you, our members. You are the heart of this institution. Your ongoing support allows us to bring history, art, and culture to life for our community.

Exciting Upcoming Projects

As we look ahead to spring, we are thrilled to announce some exciting new projects on the horizon. In May and June, we will introduce a couple of afternoon teas. Imagine sitting back with delicate finger sandwiches and wonderful sweet offerings in the Ben Lee Room. After your tea, enjoy a tour of this gracious old house. What a delightful way to spend an afternoon! We invite you to sign up online through our website Fintry.ca.

On June 21 and 22, we will once again host the Fintry Fusion Art Show and Strawberry Tea. Ten local artists will fill the Manor House with their incredible works. Whether you come for the strawberry tea, to view or purchase the artwork, or simply to enjoy a fun day with friends, we welcome you. Entry is by donation to the Friends of Fintry.

Celebrating Mother’s Day

Of course, we cannot forget our annual Mother’s Day Fair. This event will be held on Sunday, May 11th. It promises an exciting lineup of musicians, vendors, and entertainment. It's a perfect opportunity to celebrate while enjoying a festive atmosphere.

Our Community Impact

Your continued support and membership make it possible for us to grow, innovate, and share these experiences with the broader community. Each event and program we present is designed to engage and inspire. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits. It is because of you that we can offer such meaningful experiences.

In this month of inspiration and reflection, we thank you for being an essential part of our museum family. Your passion and enthusiasm are contagious. We hope this month brings you creativity, discovery, and moments of joy—just as you bring those things to us.

Warm regards,

Kathy Drew
